The Cottage

The interior design was meticulously executed with an eye for sophistication, simplicity and beauty, this “French Country” cottage is artfully appointed with many of the modern amenities of a 5 star resort. There is a spa/hot tub two steps from the master suite overlooking the creek, with exquisite views of the stars, mountains and the majestic trees that surround this private oasis.

Each room at the cottage was thoughtfully crafted with our guest’s comfort in mind. From plush down comforters and 100% cotton linens, to all the amenities of a gourmet kitchen, the cottage is a place for true pampering & relaxation. Each room at Kenwood Cottage has been given detailed attention for our guest's satisfaction.

Two Bedrooms

Our beds are top of the line Serta pillow-top mattresses. The master bedroom has a king bed and opens up to the back deck where the hot tub/spa are a just a few steps from your room.  The front bedroom has a queen bed and overlooks the front garden. There is a bathroom within the front bedroom. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and fully functional windows with screens to let the nice cool air in at night (welcome to wine country!)

Kenwood is in the heart of the Valley of the Moon and is considered one of the premiere towns in Sonoma's wine country. This retreat offers privacy and serenity, yet is only minutes to some of the best wineries in the region.

Sugarloaf Ridge State Park is a gentle walk from the cottage and offers wonderful activities including the Robert Ferguson Observatory for nighttime stargazing. The creek behind the cottage creates an amazing ambiance while you are in the backyard. Flowing year round, it promotes a relaxing atmosphere and really makes you feel like you are in the country.

Sip our bottle of complimentary wine while you take a dip in the hot tub under starry nights or have your breakfast on one of the several outdoor tables thoughtfully placed around the cottage. An outdoor grill is ready for your culinary artistry.

The Spa / Backyard / Garden

Treat your soul to the serenity of the Kenwood Cottage. The gardens that surround the cottage are filled with fragrant flowers and mature landscaping that are set against a backdrop of wildlife and canyon scenery.

The private, outdoor spa is set on the back deck overlooking Sonoma Creek - the largest year-round creek in the Valley of the Moon. Gaze up at the stars while enjoying a relaxing soak. 

The rear deck has an umbrella and table with four chairs to enjoy your meals or drinks outside. Two lounge chairs are also provided to relax. Addtional chairs are scattered throughout the property to take in the sounds and peacefulness of the canyon / creekside setting.

The front yard is secluded from the seldom driven canyon road. Enjoy the scenery and the sounds of nature. A bench is also provided under a covered porch when it rains.

Tesla Electric Car Charger

We have added a Tesla wall charger compatible with all Tesla vehicles (Model S, X, 3, CyberTruck, and any new ones that come out!). This wall mounted charger is attached to the house and provides a long enough cord to reach across the driveway to plug in. It provides 30 miles per hour of charge to your Tesla. Explore the wine country during the day and charge at night at no cost to our guests! We are proud to be listed on Tesla's Destination charger list. If you have a Tesla, why stay anywhere else?
